چکیده مقاله
The integration of 3D printing technologies with smart materials represents a transformative approach in mechanical engineering, enabling the fabrication of advanced mechanical parts with superior durability and performance. This paper examines the role of novel manufacturing techniques, such as additive manufacturing (AM) and 4D printing, in conjunction with smart materials like shape memory polymers (SMPs), liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs), and magneto-responsive composites. By leveraging stimuli-responsive properties, these materials allow components to adapt to external conditions, such as temperature, magnetic fields, or mechanical stress, thereby enhancing energy absorption, shape-morphing capabilities, and overall resilience. Key advancements from 2023 to 2025, including the development of mechanically robust PLA/TPU/Fe3O4 composites, ceramic-metal matrix smart composites via additive friction stir deposition (AFSD), and machine learning-optimized 4D designs, are discussed. These innovations highlight applications in aerospace, biomedical devices, soft robotics, and automotive sectors. Through case studies, such as 4D-printed self-healing gears and adaptive stents, we analyze improvements in mechanical properties like stiffness (up to 200% variable), toughness, and fatigue resistance (extended by 40-60%). The study also addresses challenges in scalability, material compatibility, and multi-stimuli responsiveness. This review draws on recent literature from 2023-2025, sourced from reputable journals like Composites Part B: Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering: R: Reports, to provide a comprehensive analysis. It concludes that this synergy not only overcomes traditional manufacturing limitations but also paves the way for intelligent, multifunctional systems in engineering, with potential for sustainable and efficient production.
