چکیده مقاله |
This study explores the integration of thermodynamic cycles for cold energy recovery from LNG regasification to enhance power generation efficiency. As LNG demand increases, its regasification process, which involves heating cryogenic LNG to ambient temperatures, presents a significant opportunity for energy recovery. The research integrates the Open Brayton Cycle (OBC), Closed Brayton Cycle (CBC), Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), and Domestic Hot Water (DHW) subsystems to optimize the recovery of cold energy. The study emphasizing the importance of key operational parameters such as pressure ratio and combustion temperature in maximizing system efficiency. The findings suggest that integrating these thermodynamic cycles can significantly energy losses and reduce fuel consumption, making the system more sustainable and efficient. The results demonstrate a 13.6% increase in power generation and a substantial improvement in thermal efficiency, with the combined heat and power (CHP) system’s efficiency rising from 60% to 83.79% compared to former studies. These gains are attributed to the application of waste heat recovery, fuel preheating optimization, and the use of high-pressure LNG-derived methane. This research provides a foundation for future investigations into refining such integrated systems and expanding their applications in various energy sectors. |
