Liquid silicone rubber (LSR) adhesives are known as one of the most important flexible adhesives with the ability to withstand thermal loads and harsh environments for various industries such as aerospace and electronics. Outgassing is the main challenge for adhesives and polymeric materials used in space applications. Bond strength is known as the most important parameter for evaluating bonds. The study of increasing the surface adhesion properties of the adhesive made by our technical team is presented in this article. The use of plasma surface treatment method has been used as a method to improve the strength properties of the bonding area. Experimental results show that in single lap joint (SLJ) specimens, by applying plasma to the sample surface, its strength properties in tensile test will increase by up to 58 %. In this article, glass substrates are investigated and the main objective is to study the solar cell joints in satellites. |
